With the recent launch of this year’s Mother’s Day collection, we couldn’t help but notice that the pieces are a bit unconventional. Rather than be focused solely around mothers, it extends to women who are like mothers, like sisters, and like daughters. It’s an all-encompassing approach that celebrates the important roles all women play in our lives.
Below is a personal letter from Carolyn Rafaelian, Founder, Creative Director, and CEO, to you, our wonderful fans, in which she discusses what this precious collection means to her.
To our fans,
Mother’s Day is traditionally thought of as a day to celebrate mothers exclusively. However, when designing this year’s Mother’s Day collection, I couldn’t help but think that there are other women in people’s lives who are equally as special as their mother. I wanted these women to be recognized for the important roles they play.
While the collection does feature a beautiful charm to commemorate a mother’s love, aptly named Hand in Hand, there are also charms to celebrate the unique, impactful, and influential roles other women can hold. Some of us may have a close friend, someone who truly loves and supports us like a sister would. Some may have a role model, a strong woman we rely on and trust wholeheartedly, much like a mother. Also, some of us may have a special person who we consider a true blessing, someone whose happiness fuels our own, like that of a daughter.
This Mother’s Day, I encourage you all to celebrate the empowering, significant, inspirational women in your lives. Show them what they mean to you with powerful symbols of love, friendship, and adoration that they will cherish for years to come.
